I went to a bizarre bead store in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. I found beads, stones, and pearls among statues and Christmas ornaments, and made myself an uneven, heavily beaded necklace. And then thought, I should keep going.

The hunt and sourcing of curious things is a thrill. It’s Jenna (my dear girl) and I’s favorite thing to do together. Finding these beads from travels, estate sales, stoop sales, corners of the internet, and maybe even the gutter outside of the deli is the heart of this operation.

All of these pieces are one of a kind — the thread that will remain throughout. The mission is small drops of jewelry that feel fun to look at, and even more fun to wear.
